  • Yield : Annual production 60000
  • Winemaking : Samples of the grapes are taken and tasted in order to harvest them at their optimal ripeness. In order to keep the uniqueness of each grape variety and its soil (terroir) the vatting is done separately. Then, there’s a first cold maceration in order to extract the fruits aromas. Afterwards, we do a first long traditional vatting time in thermo regulated tanks, this fermentation between 18 and 25 days. The final maceration lasts 4 days, in order to give a good body and make a well structured wine. The last step is the malolactic fermentation to soften the wine. After all this process, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels during one year.
  • Color : A lovely ruby colour with dark reflections.
  • Nose : Spicy, rich and woody nose
  • Palate : Generous and structured in the mouth with a successful balance. The finish is long and powferfull.
  • Serving temperature : Ambient temperature?
  • Preservation : 15 years
  • Food pairings : This wine is excellent with red meat in sauce and game. It can be tasted now or can wait fifteen years.
Ratings & Medals

2015

• Gold Medal Paris Awards 2017.
92/100 James Suckling “Currants and milk chocolate with rose-petal aromas follow through to a full body, round and velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. Needs two or three years to soften. All here. Drink in 2021.”
86/100 Wine Enthusiast « The producer obviously likes the aging of the wood, because it is a strongly toasted wine. It has dark coffee and liquorice flavors and a strong tannic character. It will take time to soften. Drink from 2020. »

2016

• Gold Medal Bordeaux Awards 2017.
• Gold Medal Lyon Awards 2019.
• Gold Medal Gilbert & Gaillard Awards 2019.
• Silver Medal Blaye Awards 2019.
92/100 James Suckling
87/100 Wine Enthusiast « Made using single-variety vats in the early stage, this is a big, ripe and fruity wine, with weight and attractive acidity. Its smoky edge and licorice flavors don’t mask the black-currant fruit and acidity. Drink from 2021. »

2018

91/100 Wine Enthusiast « The quality of the vintage shows in this wood-aged wine. Rich black fruits and still-young tannins are combining to give the potential of richness. Jammy Merlot along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec will come together well and the wine should be ready from 2021. »
• Silver Medal Vignerons Indépendants Awards 2020.
